Changing the Default WhatsApp App for Messaging

3sigma CRM makes it easy to connect with leads over WhatsApp. If you have both WhatsApp Personal and WhatsApp Business installed on your phone and want to switch which app 3sigma CRM uses to send messages, follow these steps.


1. Reset WhatsApp Defaults

To change the app used for sending messages:

  1. Open your device’s Settings.

  2. Navigate to Apps > Default Apps > Opening Links.

  3. Select WhatsApp and tap Clear Defaults.


2. Send a Message via 3sigma CRM

Once the defaults are cleared:

  1. Open 3sigma CRM.

  2. Go to a Lead’s details and tap the WhatsApp icon to send a message.

  3. Your phone will prompt you to select either WhatsApp Personal or WhatsApp Business. Choose the app you prefer.


3. Understand Default App Behavior

  • The app you select will become the default choice for future WhatsApp links.

  • If you want to switch to a different WhatsApp app later, repeat the steps to reset the defaults.


By following these steps, you can easily switch between WhatsApp Personal and WhatsApp Business to suit your preferences while using 3sigma CRM.
